JULY 2001

Cover Story: “Women’s Work! It Ain’t What It Used To Be!” was the headline, and in reference to wrestling, who could argue? The role of the diva was ever-changing and expanding. Sure, sex still sold as well as ever, but a fantastic face and a beautiful body alone didn’t guarantee any woman success in wrestling. We devoted eight pages to “women’s work” and offered up a lot more than just delicious photographs. In addition to a very detailed analysis that included interesting comments from Madusa, a look at the lost art of women’s wrestling, and an examination of the catfight craze, thumbnail sketches of the top women of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s were provided.

Eye-Catcher: We like the way the design accentuates Trish’s, uh, smile
